2-8-21 - Prospects Live  @ProspectsLive

Cincinnati LHP Evan Shawver is a favorite of our draft team. He's got a high-spin FB up to 97 showcasing big ride w/a flat VAA, exploding at the plate. Quite a data-darling. He also throws a good breaking ball and a firm CH. We've got him a day-one pick.

2-8-21 - Joe @JoeDoyleMiLB

If you're looking for a sleeper in the 2021 MLB Draft, Evan Shawver  may be your man. Up to 97 from the left side, comfortably 93-94 this summer. Low release, big ride, flat VAA. Needs to throw strikes. First round potential. We've mocked him to Tampa Bay at no. 33

Mack spin -

Too much talent in the first round to sneak Evan in.

I have him being picked in the second.

2-7-21 - Shooter Hunt  @ShooterHunt

Get used to hearing about Alabama recruit, LHP Brandon Clarke (VA):

6’4 215 w/ defined lower-half

Pumped 92-95 w/ sharp breaking ball up to 78. Lots to like about the upside & athleticism allows him to be dynamic down the mound..

Mack’s spin -

This is the first I have heard about Clarke.

Sounds worth keeping up with.

 2-7-21 - Patrick Ebert @PatrickEbert44

Luke Hayden was the most complete pitcher I saw today at the #Super60, Strong-bodied 6-1/210 RHP, 93-95 FB, sharp 80-81 SL, 83-86 CH and his 71-73 CB was a pleasant surprise, @IndianaBase will get a good one if they can get the hometown talent on campus

Mack’s spin -

Hayden really turned heads this summer at the Perfect Game National Showcase, Area Code Games and East Coast Pro Showcase.

He looks to be a rising star in this draft.

I think it would be so interesting to take the best of the best of the first team, second team, and third team high schoolers and form them into a major league team and see what they could do in the major leagues in 2022. Would they win 20? 30? 40? It will never happen, but would be interesting.

Interesting to see how everything and everyone gets ranked.

The ranking helps to connect the dots.
