Mets/MLB - What Dropped Overnight - Lockout Updates, College Baseball on Platforms

Feb 09, 2022:

MLB is planning to make a new proposal following the owners meeting which ends tomorrow. It is expected to involve core economic issues, and hope remains that it could trigger something to get a deal done on time for the regular season to begin as scheduled, or close.

I can see it now....the proposal is made, Manfred goes on his soapbox tomorrow saying how the owners want to make a deal...a few hours later we hear that the new offer is worse than all the previous offers made.

Hope there’ll be a decent amount of people who use the lockout as a reason to give college baseball a shot. It’s so much better than watching Spring Training even in a normal year

If they can't make up their minds and reach a deal, I am nailing my 13 theses to the door of the cathedral at 8:00AM

Yes, go see college baseball and minor league baseball. Again, I would love to see where the Ducks play in Islip turned into a Mets minor league affiliate. Baseball could add one more franchise per organization back.

Brooklyn is too far for me to go to - Islip? I'd go a lot to see our kids.

Where are you in Suffolk, Tom? I live in Medford, and go to one game a year in Brooklyn with 1 or 2 friends. You're welcome to passenge with me if you're interested.

Don't be surprised that this new drug scandal doesn't speed up the settlement so the headlines.can be PLAY BALL instead of SHOOT UP.
