MY MLB.COM – 2026 Mock Draft
Mets 1.17 (prior to luxury tax adjustments)
Gavin Grahovac
Ht/Wt: 6' 2"/220 lbs
Position: 3B
Team: Texas A&M
Prospect Profile
Jim Callis - MLB - September 16th:
"After setting a Texas A&M freshman record with 23 homers in 2024,
Grahovac played just six games last spring before requiring season-ending
surgery on his left shoulder. He offers some of the best raw power in the 2026
class and has the arm strength to handle third base, but he needs to improve
his selectivity, contact and defensive consistency."
Joel Reuter -
Bleacher Report - August 20th: "However, a shoulder injury limited him to
just six games as a sophomore, and he will need to rebuild his stock next
spring. He will need to show he has made strides with his hit tool after
striking out 95 times as a freshman."
Jonathan Mayo - MLB
- July 17th: "After hitting 23 homers as a freshman, college baseball fans
were excited for an encore in 2025, but left shoulder surgery limited him to
just six games. He could come back with his right-handed power back with a
vengeance in 2026."
Baseball America -
July 16th: "At 6-foot-2 and 220 pounds, Grahovac has a physical build to
go along with a strong swing in which his forearm and wrist strength is
evident. He has present power to all fields.

This guy looks great. Too bad the Nets are picking 27th and not 17th.
Too bad they weren’t saved by the lottery. Baseball America has a story that the Mets almost got the sixth pick. What are they talking about? I don’t subscribe to it. Does anyone here subscribe?
Let's hope he drops to 27 because of the injury, remember we get penalize ten spots so we are 27th now.
There are a lot of good players available (more than 26) so the scouting has to do a credible job of separating guys that excel against college-level talent and guys that have the skills to excel several levels above that.
I would think they focus on high school grads given their strong farm system .
