Joe Bonfe delivered a go-ahead two-run single in the sixth inning as the Mets won their fifth straight game with a 2-1 victory over the Charlotte Stone Crabs on Sunday.
In the sixth, Francisco Pena drew a two-out walk and advanced to third on a Juan Torres double to left.
Bonfe followed with a base hit to center to plate Pena and Torres to give the Mets the lead.
Hamilton Bennett (5-0)pitched two scoreless innings and allowed two hits with one walk to earn the victory in relief.
Erik Goeddel received a no-decision and allowed one run on four hits in five innings with four walks and four strikeouts.
Adam Kolarek tossed two scoreless innings and struck out three to earn his seventh save of the season.
The Mets will look for their sixth straight win on Tuesday as they visit the Palm Beach Cardinals at 6:35 p.m. Cory Mazzoni is the scheduled starter for the Mets.
