Alonzo Harris added an RBI triple to center in the eighth inning to plate Tovar to make it 7-3. Shields followed with an RBI infield single to score Harris.
Chris Young earned his first win of the season as he pitched 6 1/3 innings and allowed three runs on five hits with one strikeout.
