Tucson 5 - Las Vegas 3 (Davis 2 More HRs)

The Tucson Padres collected four two-out RBI hits Friday aiding them to a 5-3 win over the Las Vegas 51s at Kino Stadium. The victory moved the Padres (39-36) into a second place tie, one game out of first place in the Southern Division.

Wilmer Flores hit a first inning home run into the left field bullpen in the top of the first, giving the 51s an early 1-0 advantage. Tucson tied the score at one in the third on Jonathan Galvez's solo home run over the left field fence. The home run was Galvez's fifth of the season and the first against an opponent other than Fresno.

The Padres took a 4-1 lead in the fourth with the help of two-out RBI singles from Rene Rivera, Robbie Erlin and Daniel Robertson. After Robertson made a diving catch in center field to end the top of the fifth, Gregorio Petit came up with his own two-out RBI hit to put Tucson ahead, 5-1. Ike Davis hit a pair of solo home runs in the sixth and ninth for his second straight two-homer game.

Erlin (6-2) earned his sixth win of the season after scattering three hits, two runs and two walks in six innings of work. Miles Mikolas recorded his 14th save for Tucson, placing him in a tie for the fourth most in the Pacific Coast League. Las Vegas starter Chris Schwinden (3-7) lost his seventh game, while surrendering nine hits and five runs in five innings
