2011 DRAFT: - Kevin Cron, Dillon Maples, Mikal Hill, Dylan Bundy... and Dante Bichette

Kevin Cron:



6-30 from: - link  - MaxPreps All-American Baseball Team - First Team - Kevin Cron, Mountain Pointe (Phoenix, Ariz.), Catcher, 6-4, 245, Jr. - An all-state pick by the Arizona Republic, Cron tied a state record by blasting 22 home runs. He batted .491 on the season with 24 runs, 54 hits, 10 doubles and 52 RBI to go with his prodigious home run total. Committed to play at TCU following his senior year.

Dillon Maples:


6-30 from: - link  - Dillon Maples struck out five in two shutout innings of relief to lead the Red past the Blue 2-1 in game one the 18U National Team Trials Tuesday night at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, N.C. The Red team scored two runs on seven hits improving to 1-0 in the first of five Trials' games. Maples (1-0) shined in two scoreless innings of relief, striking out five of the six batters he faced. The West End, N.C., native did not render a hit or walk





Mikal Hill:


6-27 from: - link   - Day two at TOS - SS, Mikal Hill, from Charlotte area, Mallard HS, I've seen countless times, better pop of course from left side of plate, just marginal across the board tools, 4 yr school best bet to follow next 3 plus years.


Dylan Bundy:


6-30 from: - link  - MaxPreps All-American Baseball Team - First Team - Dylan Bundy, Owasso (Owasso, Okla.), Pitcher, 6-1, 200, Jr. - The two-time state player of the year by Gatorade, Bundy transferred to Owasso for his junior season after playing two years at Sperry. The move to tougher competition did nothing to dim Bundy's stats as he went 11-1 with a 1.58 ERA and 164 strikeouts in 79.2 innings pitched. He also batted .444 with 51 RBI and seven home runs for the Rams, who were the state 6A runners up. Bundy has committed to play at Texas.



Dante Bichette:


6-27 from: - link   - Day two at TOS - Dante Bichette, strong physical kid, fully mature, 6'1 perhaps, 215, R/R, solid arm, best shot might be on the bump, I was not crazy about the bat speed I saw and had a hard time going up the zone with below ave velocity fb. Orangewood FL
