2011 DRAFT - Matt Sisto, Cole Gleason, Kyle Smith, Tony Zych... and

Matt Sisto:

7-26 from: - link  - Here are some names of draft eligibles for 2011 who have not been mentioned much and are definitely on the radar for 2011 MLB scouting depts. - RHP - Matt Sisto, Hawaii, 6'4 1/2 230, power arm for Rainbows, not a strike out guy, gets popups and grounders and knows how, just needs to stay within himself. Should have breakout year.

Cole Gleason:

7-13-10: - MaxPreps Junior All-American Baseball Team - Cole Gleason, Red Mountain (Mesa, Ariz.), All-Purpose - An all-state pick, Gleason was one of the top home run hitters in the country as he blasted 18 on the season. he had a .514 batting average with 46 runs, 54 hits, 57 RBI and 14 doubles.

Kyle Smith:

7-27-10 from: - link  - Kyle Smith, RHP/SS, Santaluces (FL) HS - Smith is Florida’s version of Ricardo Jacquez. His small-framed 5’10” build and plus athleticism points to the infield, but his stuff says the mound. I lean to Smith as a pitcher but not without hesitation. His arm-action is beautiful and I believe his curveball can become a plus major league pitch. He also showed low-90s velo at the Tournament of Stars. Smith has good infield actions, enough to consider shortstop, but he might not become much more than a contact hitter at the highest levels.

Tony Zych:

7-27-10 from: - link  - Tony Zych (Louisville)- He is having a solid summer without receiving a decision, but has picked up nine saves in 13 relief appearances. He has held opponents to a .203 average while having an ERA of 1.10. He has struck out 24 batters in 16.1 innings of work. Tony struggled this past season with Louisville going 5-2 with a 5.13 ERA in 59.2 innings of work. He spent the summer of 2009 with the USA Collegiate National Team where he was 0-1 with a 2.93 ERA in six bullpen appearances.

7-30-10 from: - http://mlb.fanhouse.com/2010/07/29/scouting-notes-cape-cod-league-all-stars  - • Tony Zych, RHP, Louisville -- Clearly the best raw arm in the All-Star Game, Zych showcased an explosive 95-98 mph fastball from the right side. There is an obvious caveat with Zych, however. His arm action and violent delivery is enough to make even a casual observer cringe. So you have to be willing to take a leap of faith that he can stay healthy and durable. But with his harder 86-87 mph slider and that dominant fastball, he fits quite neatly into the big league closer profile.

Peter O’Brien:

7-28 from: - link  - Pete O’Brien (Bethune-Cookman) hit his fourth home run of the season and drove in two runs to help the Collegiate National Team (CNT) snap its two-game skid against Chinese-Taipei Tuesday with a 6-3 victory at Hsinchuang Field. With the win Team USA improves to 10-2 on its summer tour. O’Brien’s fielder’s choice RBI in the fourth inning broke a one-all and gave USA the lead for good at 2-1.
