TODAY’S GAME: Tonight, the Buffalo Bisons face the Rochester Red Wings in the first game of a two-game series at Frontier Field (7:05 p.m.). These two games are the final games for the Herd before this year’s All-Star Break, July 12-14. The Herd will open up a four-game set against the Gwinnett Braves on Thursday, July 15 at Coca-Cola Field.



vs. WINGS: The Bisons are 3-2 this season against their closest rivals. The teams split a two-game set in Rochester, April 21-22 and didn’t face each other again until the Herd took two of three on July 1-3 at Coca-Cola Field. The Bisons are 51-46 (.526) all-time at Frontier Field.

OF JORGE PADILLA enters tonight’s game on a 12-game hit streak that matches a Bisons’ season high. The outfielder has averaged .380 (19-50) with three doubles, seven RBI and 12 runs scored during the stretch. Current New York Met, OF JESUS FELICIANO hit in 12 straight for the Bisons from May 12-23. Padilla’s streak is the longest active stretch in the IL.


INF MIKE JACOBS has clubbed five homers in his last five games. Included in that stretch is a two-homer game on Wednesday in Syracuse. Jacobs now has 14 home runs and 49RBI on the season -both of which are second on the Bisons. He has reached base safely in his last 12 games, hitting .298 (14-47) with eight walks.


OF LUCAS DUDA has hit seven home runs in his last 11 games, including five straight games, June 28-July 2. The Triple-A rookie now has 23RBI in his first 22 games with the team. With 15 extra-base hits and nine walks already, Duda has posted a .385 on-base percentage, a .716 slugging percentage and a 1.101 OPS.


 INF JUSTIN TURNER has homered in back-to-back games and hit in each of his last five contests. The infielder is hitting an even .300 (48-160) in his first 39 games with the Bisons. Turner was claimed off waivers (Baltimore) by the Mets on May 25.
