9-29-13 – XMLBScout – 14.)RHP, Daniel Mengden, Texas A&M, 6'1 210, R/R, may end up a catcher if pitching don't work out, this kid has a great arm and loves baseball, on the bump he's 92-96 with no fear, also hard slide piece and good control, rushes delivery some from upper 3/4 slot, as a catcher, he's sub 2.0 on pop times and shows good glove skills and does enough behind the dish to be competent defender, will be a below average hitter but enough strength and bat speed to improve further up the ladder.
