Reese Kaplan -- 13.1 Scoreless IP Is Meaningless

The Mets made another roster move after the Skipper burned pretty much his entire bullpen yesterday by farming out seldom-used Ty Kelly and promoting a relief pitcher.  Now, you have the choice of a guy whose most recent efforts hastened his departure from the majors or a guy who pitched to a sub-2.00 ERA for an entire season and now has 13.1 scoreless innings since coming back from Tommy John Surgery?  What to do, what to do...

In typical Metsian fashion they opted for Logan Verrett and Josh Edgin continues to get to enjoy the summer heat of Las Vegas.  Is there an arm strength issue they're not disclosing?  Is it about options being burned or is it just poor decision making?

Edgin sure is getting minor league hitters out with ease. He has to be frustrated

Edgin gave up 4 hits, 3 runs in a short outing last night. We jinx them!
