With Travis d'Arnaud's long awaited return from the DL, Kevin Plawecki has been sent to hone his blackjack and craps skills while Rene Rivera remains with the big club.
Project pitcher Jim Henderson unsurprisingly hits the DL with lefty Sean Gilmartin returning to the big club. The only thing interesting about this move is who they chose. I opined that Logan Verrett's days were likely numbered and he was bypassed in favor of Gilmartin who had been working primarily as a starter in AAA. Also Josh Edgin is apparently not yet healthy enough to warrant the return to Queens.

EDGin must be doing something right...One stinking run allowed in 24 appearances and 0.96 WHIP.
I really don't get this article at all. Reese has been Wilmer's #1 backer for two seasons, advocating for him to get the full opportunity to be an everyday player. Now that he has that chance, Reese wants to replace him wi h a VERY diminished Jose Reyes.
On Sunday, EVERY decision on using the pen worked to perfection, with 8,2 IP of one run ball, but Terry catches flak because of one pitcher he DIDN'T use, one who would be due to take Colon's next start if Bart is unable to.
Is it really impossible for Reese to give the mgr credit for ANY moves, regardless of how the moves wors?
