Would you trade JD for Bryant? Would Steve?
Not without a signed three year extension
If they were FAs, I would consider some of them. But once our IL players are back, we don't need them enough to trade for them.
If Conforto walks, a guy that could fill his spot is Mark Canha. Has experience at all three OF spots and may come cheap because he's been so quietly productive in Oakland. Also a righty bat in a lefty-heavy group. Since 2019 he has a .388 OBP, 862 OPS, 13.5% walk rate, and is 10th in WAR among all outfielders. They may just stick McNeil out there though if Cano and his contract get a starting gig when he comes back
Alot of these guys come with a disclaimer: “Past performance does not guarantee future results”. There is no way I trust anyone on this list outside of Kris Bryant.
