Maybe one of the guys I've criticized a lot, Tomas Nido, is really a # 1 catcher. 4 catcher hits - usually a week's supply. Congrats to Tomas. Keep it up and I'll change my name to Tomas. Classic Mets.

A fine, off-kilter Mets win. Classic Mets.

Hard to process the idea of Hager, Fargas and Lee getting ABs in a mid-May game, but there you go. Classic Mets.

3 outfielders already down? WHy not add in a Pillar beaning to make it 4? Classic Mets.

Tom - AS I have said before and how Tomas has proven in the minors - when he plays regularly, he hits. He led the Florida league in batting one year and he hit in Binghamton in 2018 after a long inactive period in Flushing. Coming off the bench is hard...even harder for a young player. Ron Darling said the same thing about Nido last night. Given that McCann has never been a #1 MLB catcher - your idea of a job share makes the most sense. Throw in Mazeika as a guy who can pinch hit in a big spot and spot start and you have the makings of a solid 3 man catching rotation.

The part I don't get is why doesn't Luis drop Lindor down to the seven or eight batting spot. Maybe this could help him. And the team is hurting with him up higher in the order.
