Trivia: Of all the players involved in Mets trades in the 1988 season, Randy Milligan had the highest career bWAR by far. (I did not add them all up, but I think Milligan's career bWAR exceeded that of all the other 20 players combined).

Mackey Sasser was such an interesting Met. He had the potential to be a great hitting and defensive catcher, but he developed the "yips" throwing the ball back to the mound. No one could fix it, and eventually he became expendable and the Mets let him go in 1992.
There are some very good writeups on Mackey and the scientific background on the "yips" that are worth reading.

Yes, I liked Mackey Sasser when he first came over. I felt so bad for him when he developed his yips. Wonder what might have been. He was a good hitter.
