4. Minnesota Twins
Wyatt Langford, Outfield, Florida
Minnesota has 1-in-142 odds to land the No. 4 overall pick, so this would be an absolutely massive coup for the Twins. Again, if we were making this pick, Dollander would be the guy, but Minnesota’s affinity for college sluggers is simply too hard to ignore. Brooks Lee in 2022 was a bit of a variation, but still a bat-first guy with power and a high floor. Langford has the chance to play an average centerfield or a solid average corner with plus power and the upside of a guy who hits 25-30 homers if he can up his contact rates a bit in 2023.

15. Adam Hachman, LHP, Timberland HS (Mo.)
Hachman joins Johnson as a premium southpaw on the USA Baseball staff, one who lit up radar guns at the East Coast Professional Showcase. There were reports of him flirting with triple digits, mixing in a solid low-80s breaking ball and a harder changeup.

A year after exploding at the PBR Future Games where he showcased one of the sweetest, purest strokes at the event, Martin appeared to have elevated his game to another level. Still oozing projection with a 6-foot-2, 185-pound frame that is already impressive, the left-handed hitter provided a glimpse at an impressive hit-tool against some of the top arms in the class. If that wasn’t enough, the Arkansas recruit demonstrated big power potential that is likely to be developed considerably in coming years.
LHP Hurston Waldrep
Hurston Waldrep broke out for Southern Miss last year after rarely seeing action as a reliever in 2021. He’s a big strikeout guy that doesn’t walk opponents often and can eat innings.
His fastball is hittable, but his off-speed stuff generates the swing and miss fairly often. He should be a lock for the No. 2 spot behind Sproat and provide some stability to the rotation.

7. Brayden Taylor, 3B, Texas Christian
Taylor lacks a true plus tool but does a little bit of everything, controlling the strike zone, generating power without selling out for it and looking steadier at the hot corner than he does in the middle infield. He produced nearly identical numbers in his freshman and sophomore seasons, batting a combined .319/.450/.574 with 25 homers and 25 steals.

Antonio Anderson
Tri Cities, Atlanta, GA
It's tough to find a switch-hitter in the 2023 class with more polish than Anderson. Hit/Power combo stands out with an impressive feel for the barrel from both sides, with notable bat speed and innate ability to create loft. It's a visually appealing swing with a firm front side and steady balance throughout. Anderson has plus arm strength paired with a very projectable frame suggesting hs should stick on the left side of the infield long term.
