Mets Minor League Report – June 16

Colorado Springs  (38-30) holds on to beat Las Vegas (35-33) 9-7.

Starter Chris Schwinden was tagged for 5 ER, 9 H, (2 HR) BB, 3 K.

After Las Vegas, down 6-0, came back to tie it with 6 runs in the bottom of the 8^th, Robert Carson (who else) (L, 1-1) gave the lead right back, allowing 3 R, on 3 H, (HR), in the top of the 9^th to take the loss.

Andrew Brown: 1-4, 2B, RBI, R.  Brown is hitting .349 for the season.

Wilmer Flores: 1-4, 2 RBI.

Zach Lutz: 1-3, HR, 2 BB, 3 RBI, R.

Binghamton (42-26) shaves Bowie (31-33) 5-4.

Bingo won in walk-off fashion on a homer by Joe Bonfe to lead off the bottom of the 9^th.

Mark Cohoon: 5.0 IP, 4 ER, 9 H, BB, 5 K.

Mark was followed by 3 B-Mets relievers: Adam Kolarek, (2.0 IP, H, 3 K) John Church, (1.0 IP. 2 H)and Chase Hutchingson, (W, 3-1) who pitched a perfect 9^th inning, with 2 K, to hold the Baysox scoreless the rest of the way.

Travis Taijeron: 3-4, HR, 2B, RBI, 2 R. Could Taijeron have possibly gotten off to a hotter start since his promotion to AA? In 7 games (4 of them multiple hit games) he has 4 HR, 11 RBI, 10 R, and a slash line of .367/.406/.900/1.306.

Richard Lucas: 1-4, HR, RBI, R.

St Lucie (34-30) not scheduled – All Star Break.

In yesterday’s All Star Game, won by the FSL South Division All Stars, Noah Syndergaard was the winning pitcher. (1.0 IP, 1 H)

Dustin Lawley was 3-4 scoring 2 R.

T.J. Rivera was held hitless in 5 AB.

Savannah (43-26) thrashes Greenville (22-47) 8-0.

Gabriel Ynoa (W, 8-2) pitched an absolute gem: 5.0 IP, 0 R, 3 H, 0 BB, 6 K. Great work!

Marcos Camarena followed Ynoa with 3.0 scoreless innings, 2 H, 0 BB, K.

Hunter Carnivale pitched a perfect 9^th inning, striking out 2.

Jayce Boyd: 2-2, 3 BB, RBI, 2 R.

Brandon Nimmo: 2-4, BB, 2 R.
