Mets Minor League Report – June 18

Tucson  (37-34) beats  Las Vegas (36-33) 5-2 
Starter Jacob deGrom allowed 1 ER, 8 H, 2 BB, 3 K in 5.2 innings, followed by Justin Hampson who gave up 1 R on 2 H and a BB without getting an out..
Greg Burke, just sent down by the Mets when Zack Wheeler was called up, surrendered 3 R on 2 H and 2 BB, with 2 K in 1.1 innings, and is in line for the loss.
Zach Lutz: 1-3, 2B, R.
Juan Centeno: 2-4, RBI.
Ike Davis: 1-3, BB, RBI and 1 K. (.207)

Binghamton (42-26) @ Richmond (34-33) postponed (wet grounds).

St Lucie (36-30) edges Charlotte (29-37) 7-6.
Starter Alex Panteliodis: 5.0 IP, 2 ER, 7 H, 2 BB, 2 K.
Estarlin Morel, was slammed for 4 R, 2 ER, 5 H, 2 BB, 2 K in 1.1 IP. He was followed by Randy Fontanez, who gave up only 1 BB with 4 K in his 1.2 innings of work.
Hamilton Bennett, (W, 1-0) pitched a 1 hit 9th inning.
St. Lucie got almost all their offense from the 2-3- 4 spots in the batting order: 
T.J. Rivera: 3-5, 2B, 2 R.
Matt Reynolds: 3-4, HR, 3B, 2B, 3 RBI, 3 R.
Dustin Lawley: 2-5, HR, 2B, 3 RBI, R.  Lawley had a walk-off double in the bottom of the 9th, scoring Rivera with the game winner.

Savannah (43-26) – not scheduled – All Star Break
In tonight’s All Star Game the SAL North Division beat the SAL South Division 2-1. Savannah Sand Gnats players, playing for the South Division, were:
Jayce Boyd: 1-3, a single.
Kevin Plawicki: 0-2.
Brandon Nimmo: 0-1.
Beck Wheeler: 0.1 IP, H, 0 BB, K.
Bret Mitchell: 0.2 IP, 0 H, 0 BB, K.

Staten Island (1-0) @ Brooklyn (0-1) postponed (rain).

DSL Rojos (5-10) hold on to beat DSL Mets1 (6-8) 8-7.
Two Mets pitchers, Ronald Guidez, (L, 0-1) 2.1 IP, 4 ER, 8 H, 3 BB, 2 K, and Franley Camenero, 1.2 IP, 4 R, 3 ER, 5 H, BB, K, combined to give the Rojos an early 8-0 lead.
 Adonis Uceta pitched a solid 4.0 innings, allowing only 1 BB, as the Mets staged a comeback, only to fall one run short.
Luis Ortega: 2-5, 2 2B, R.
John Mora: 2-5, RBI, R.

DSL Mets2 (9-6) top DSL Marlins (7-8) 7-5.
Starter Kevin Canelon (5.0 IP, 3 ER, 6 H, 0 BB, 2 K) and reliever Miguel Gutierrez (1.1 IP, 2 ER, 3 H, BB, 2 K) did not fare too well.
However, Randinson Suazo (BS, 1) (W, 1-0) (1.2 IP, 0 R, 0 H, 2 BB, K) and Marcos Gonzalez (S, 2) (1.0 IP, 0 R, 0 H, 0 BB, K) were excellent, holding the Marlins scoreless the rest of the way.

Jose Figuera: 2-3, 2B, 2 R.

Alvin Maracaro: 2-4, 3B, 2B, 2 RBI, R.
Victor Moscote: 2-4, 2B, 2 RBI.
Santo Marte: 2-4, 2 2B, RBI.
