Brooks Lee really burst onto the scene in 2021, hitting .342/.384/.626 with 27 doubles and 10 home runs. A switch-hitter, he was considered one of the best pure hitters in the 2019 high school class, and that skill set has translated into college. He has also used sure hands, good footwork and excellent feel for the game to become a quality defensive shortstop.
At the plate, Lee’s power has come on and allowed his star to shine even brighter. Ten home runs was an impressive number, but as he continues to add strength to a sturdy 6-foot-2, 205-pound frame, it’s easy to see some of those doubles finding their way over the fence.
Mack's spin -
We have talked about Lee before.
He remains my 2nd SS behind Termarr Johnson and will easily be drafted in the first round.

Nebraska Cornhuskers
The reigning Big Ten champions didn’t lose much last season, as the Cornhuskers finished with a 34-14 record.
Three of those wins came against the Nittany Lions in Happy Valley, winning by five or more runs twice in the series.
The Cornhuskers lost a decent amount of talent through both graduation and the MLB Draft but have many players looking to take a big step forward this season.
Catcher Griffin Everitt finished his first year with Nebraska with a .287 batting average, good for fourth on the team, and he’ll be back with the Cornhuskers in 2022.
Reliever Jake Bunz finished the 2021 season as the team's leader in appearances and posted a 2.20 ERA. He also whiffed batters at a high clip, striking out 42 in 32 and two-thirds innings.
Despite losing big names on both sides of the ball, Nebraska returns a majority of last year’s Big Ten championship team, making it a tall task for the Nittany Lions to beat the Cornhuskers for the first time since May 2017.

DOMINIC HELLMAN
Shortstop Henry M. Jackson High School (Mill Creek, WA)
Hellman comes packed with a unicorn frame – it’s an extremely physical, 6-foot-6, 230-pound imposing Aaron-Judge-like body with the big bat to fit the label. His batting practice display put on at the Perfect Game National Showcase may go down as the most impressive session in the history of the event. It’s comfortably 80-grade elite raw power. There’s some bat-to-ball skills here too. He shows good ability to get to balls below the strike zone and create lift. More importantly, however, Hellman’s athletic traits exceed what's to be expected in the build. Given the ultra-tall frame, Hellman's physical maturity and physical movements will be something to watch. Right now, however, he’s an above average, maybe even a plus runner with the hands to handle shortstop for his travel ball team. Ultimately, Hellman could end up in a number of different positions at the next level. Corner infield, corner outfield, it could go a number of ways. But at the end of the day, the bat will dictate the prospect value, and the pure power is potentially the best in the entire class. If Hellman hits the showcase circuit well, watch out. Hellman is committed to the University of Oregon.
Mack's spin -
I REALLY like Hellman.
He currently has risen to my 2nd third baseman behind the recent addition of Cam Collier.
8-12-21 - Talking Chop - Georgia Prospects -
Drew Compton, 3B/1B, Georgia Tech -
Another power bat out of Tech is Drew Compton, who has a career .300/.399/.572 slash line through 69 games over 2020 and 2021 to go with a combined 16 homers. He struggled in a fairly limited time in the Cape and there are real questions about his ability to stick at third, but he can mash.
Mack's spin -
Enters my board as my 11th third baseman.
8-5-21 - Prospects Live
Connor Fuhrman OF
Fuhrman is another bat who stood out among the crowd of very talented athletes with his in-game performance. It seemed like he made hard contact and barreled up the ball every time he came to the plate, shooting hard liners into the outfield for extra bases. Fuhrman posts some of the best exit velos in the class (up to 90MPH) and couples his ability at the plate with above-average run times (6.83 60) and a strong, accurate arm from the outfield (88 MPH). Fuhrman’s combination of good testing numbers and in-game performance made him really stand out among a field of stars in the 2022 class.
Mack's spin -
A newbie here.
Not on my board yet.
