TODAY’S GAME: Tonight, the Buffalo Bisons face the Rochester Red Wings in the first game of a three-game series from Coca-Cola Field (7:05 p.m.). The Herd began this homestand with a two-game sweep of Syracuse. The Bisons are now 24-16 at home this season (.600 winning pct.). Following this series, Buffalo will travel to Syracuse for a four-game set with the Chiefs.



vs. RED WINGS: This is the first time this season the Red Wings have traveled to Coca-Cola Field. The Herd split a two-game series with the Wings at Frontier Field, April 21-22. Last season, the Bisons were 6-10 against Rochester.



LHP PAT MISCH was selected to the 2010 International League All-Star Team. Misch has more wins (7) than any other lefty in the IL and is fifth in the league with 96.1 innings of work. The southpaw has worked at least six innings in 11 of his 15 starts this season and the Bisons are 11-4 when he takes the mound.

 OF LUCAS DUDA has homered in three straight games. The Triple-A rookie hit a two-run shot on Monday in Charlotte, a solo home run on Tuesday and another solo shot in yesterday’s victory. Duda has averaged .308 (16-52) with four homers and 12RBI in his first 14 games with the Herd. The outfielder has a hit in 12 of the 14 contests.


ROSTER MOVES: INF LUIS HERNANDEZ and RHP MANUEL ALVAREZ have been promoted from Double-A Binghamton today. Hernandez began the year with the Herd (two games). He hit .298 (67-225) with 19 extra-base hits in 57 games with the B-Mets. Alvarez is a combined 6-1 with a 1.29ERA and 13 saves in 27 games between Single-A St. Lucie and Binghamton this year. To make roster room, RHP DYLAN OWEN was transferred to Binghamton and OF JASON PRIDIE was placed on the DL with a right hamstring strain.
