Brooklyn 8, Hudson Valley 3

The Cyclones won their fourth straight game on Wednesday night, beating Hudson Valley by a score of 8-3, behind 12 hits and two home runs from the red-hot Cyclones offense. With the win, Brooklyn remains undefeated in six games at MCU Park.


1B Jeff Flagg went 1-for-3 with two RBI, and hit his second home run of the season deep to left field in the bottom of the third inning. In just his sixth game of the season for the Cyclones, Luis Nieves hit his first home run, and went 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI in the process. 3B Jet Butler, RF Cory Vaughn, and CF Darrell Ceciliani added two hits apiece and combined for four RBI and three runs. 2B J.B. Brown and LF Cody Holliday also chipped in with one hit apiece.



Lefthander Angel Cuan (1-0) tossed five innings to earn his first win of the season, allowing two runs on five hits with one walk, while striking out four.
