1) Zach Alford

4-4-11: - http://bullpenbanter.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=405:college-baseball-weekend-07-observations&catid=18:articles&Itemid=11  - Showed off his power by hitting line drive home run over CF fence on a low fastball over the heard of the plate; extended arms well; got behind in the count, but did a great job of battling back by fouling off pitches and taking tough Garvin breaking balls out of the zone before getting the pitch. Very hard bunt single down the first base line later in the game Ranged well to his left and made a strong throw to first base - Comment: I have to wonder why Auburn isn't utilizing Alvord more than they currently are. He did come into the game with a pretty poor offensive line, but he certainly shows the tools to be an impact bat at the plate. Defensively, he looks much better than advertised at short stop. He ranges surprising well and his arm strength is a huge asset at this level. Perhaps I'm just seeing him on good days (this was only my second look at him), but I have a hard time seeing how they can continue to keep him on the bench

3-14-11: - http://bullpenbanter.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=392:college-baseball-weekend-04-observations&catid=18:articles&Itemid=11  - Player: Zach Alvord College: Auburn University Position: Short Stop Bats/Throws: R/R Height/Weight: 6'0" / 180 lbs. Average height, strong upper half Stays back well and hits hard line drive into center field Impressive arm strength; bobbled the exchange and recovered by rocketing the ball to first base

2) Joel McKeithan

6-12-11: - http://baseballdraftreport.com/  FR SS Joel McKeithan (2013) - Objectivity is important, no doubt, but sometimes you just have to throw caution to the wind and just go with a guy you like. Joel McKeithan is that kind of guy for me. He is currently expected to fill a utility infielder role for the 2012 Vanderbilt squad, but I can easily envision his plus speed and plus defensive tools at short earning him time over Anthony Gomez at short. The little bit I saw of him in high school plus the positive college practice reports equal a potential big league starting shortstop in my mind.

3) Luke Tendler

7-7-11: - http://www.perfectgame.org/Articles/View.aspx?article=5988  SS Luke Tendler School: North Carolina A&T Ht.: 5-11, Wt.: 181 Hometown.: Wilmington, N.C. He also slugged .606 and had a .404 OBP. Additionally, he finished second on the team with 129 total bases.
