Mets general manager Sandy Alderson said that Ike Davis will wait another month before his left ankle is reevaluated.
In other words, we can probably rule him out for the season now. Davis has been running regularly on the ankle, but Alderson said he has only shown minimal improvement. If he doesn't make sufficient progress in the next month, he is expected to undergo microfracture surgery. He is scheduled to get a second (non-Mets) opinion on Tuesday, but his status remains in a state of limbo at the moment.
