Nice walk-off win. Hopefully, the offense can carry the momentum into tomorrow. Pitching should be fine.

We will take the wins however we can get them. Pitching has been great.

I joined the Mets game in the top of the ninth, so after a happy ending, I kind of felt like watching more baseball. I tuned to the Tigers-Royals who were tied in the bottom of the ninth, then after the Tigers walk-off win, I went to the Cardinals-Brewers that were also tied in the top of the ninth. A few observances:
-Offense seems to be down everywhere; batting averages are putrid
-The Brewers don’t scare me, but the Cardinals do. The Cards have a nice lineup that is basically all righties, but they are mashers. I like the Cards talent level. Too, Jackie Bradley in the bottom of the ninth hit a ball on the screws that went to the centerfield track. He creamed that ball and it didn’t go out.
-The Brewers are a popgun lineup without Yelich and Braun. Even Lorenzo Cain, who I wanted the Mets to trade for, is on the Interstate. I see Hader being traded this summer, who will be even better as he has added a third pitch. The Brewers need retooling.

Brewers may not be that far away Gus. They had a real nice stretch at one point this year. The Yelich injury really hurts them.
