The regular season is done (and so are the Mets & Yanks), so it is officially "Hot Stove" season in New York. This is our daily open thread to discuss the many possibilities in the Mets' first off-season headed by a President Of Baseball Operations (POBO). There are many intriguing story lines and rumors already spinning around in the media, so this is your opportunity to weigh in with your thoughts.
Today's topic: Former Mets Tommy Pham, Paul Sewald, Miguel Castro, Max Scherzer, and Travis Jankowski are all playing in the World Series this year. If you could pull any of them back to the Mets in 2024, who would you want?

I know Tom would say
Me?
None.
I don't look back
Have to agree with Mack....NOPE.
Pham is a nutbar. Man has some anger issues. Seewald is the only one who holds some interest, but he was in our organization for a while and was awful. So I don't really feel about him.
Castro is a MEH for me. Scherzer is a hard no. Dude is another nutbar and not worth the trouble. Also, HE SUCKS. And Jankowski is a 5th outfielder.
So, we are better off without them. Less headaches and decent prospects.
Conforto? He isn’t in the WS but I want him back.
Go away Mrs. Conforto
I liked Miguel Castro - thought he would really become something. Would like another shot with him.
Sewald is a mystery, and I still don't think he will become an elite closer with a 93mph fastball - hitters will figure out his delivery angles and start to get their barrels around.
Scherzer became an enigma. Improvement, regression, improvement, regression. Not worth the $s to pay for past performance.
Everyone loved Conforto, just not his batting average or the length of his slumps. If he was going to bat .280 with a .900 OPS I would take him back!
I would love to get Pham back, with one stipulation--- prior to making him an off, Stearns would have to poll every 2023 regular to see if they object.
If they give the 👍, I go for him.
Sea walled
The only guy I want back is Kumar Rocker.
Rocker or Parada?
Sewald for sure
and only him
I liked Pham but he has an attitude, and a big mouth,
and is old, and not the guy we are looking for.
Conforto is a good fit.
Conforto’s last 4 months, just 4 HR, 30 RBI in 274 plate appearances.
Sounds washed up. Mediocre season, missed 2022,
Mediocre 2021, too.
I’d pass.
