NY Post: Pen implodes as Mets fall to Marlins in 11, lead cut to 5. "Sean Gilmartin and Addison Reed stumbled through a seventh inning during which the Marlins scored twice to take a 5-4 lead before the Mets tied the game in the ninth and Erik Goeddel and O’Flaherty faltered in the 11th. The Mets (74-60) saw their NL East lead sliced to five games, as the Nationals rallied to beat the Braves 5-2 in 10 innings."

ESPN.com: "New York overcame an early 3-0 deficit to take the lead, and tied the seesaw game by scoring with a two-out rally in the ninth. But the Mets stranded 13 runners, including three in the eighth and three more in the ninth. They have scored 22 runs in the past three games but lost two of them."

Nationals beat the Braves 5-2 to pull 5 games within the 1st place Mets.
