Bisons Announce 2011 Game Times126th Season of Professional Baseball in Buffalo
Begins Thursday, April 7 vs. Syracuse (3:05 p.m.)
The Buffalo Bisons today announced game times for the 2011 season, the 126th season of professional baseball in Buffalo. The season will begin on Opening Day, Thursday, April 7 against the Syracuse Chiefs at Coca-Cola Field (3:05 p.m.).
“Although one summer officially ended a couple weeks ago, we know that the next season of Bisons Baseball will be here before too long,” said Mike Buczkowski, Vice President/General Manager of the Buffalo Bisons. “It’s always fun for our organization and our fans to look ahead to what will be another amazing season at Coca-Cola Field.”
The Bisons have also placed all ticket packages on sale. Fans can now reserve their favorite party area at Coca-Cola Field for 2011, including the right field Party Deck, the Labatt Blue Zone, the centerfield Pavilion and all club level suites. Individual game tickets will not go on sale until March of 2011.
Game Times
The Bisons will use the customary 7:05 p.m. for most games after the first month of the season. The team will have 1:05 p.m. afternoon starts on most Sundays (Family Fun Sundays). The eight fridaynightbash!® games in June, July and August will start at 7:35 p.m.
Rise and Shine
The Bisons are scheduled to play five morning starts during the 2011 season. The Bisons will host their annual School Kids Day game on Thursday, June 9 against the Indianapolis Indians (10:35 a.m.). The Herd will also have morning starts on April 27 in Rochester (11:35 a.m.), May 3 in Lehigh Valley (10:35 a.m.), May 16 in Louisville (11:05 a.m.) and May 19 in Indianapolis (11:05 a.m.).
Special Events Already Set
The Bisons annual Kid’s Week will run Tuesday, April 19 – Monday, April 25. With the exception of the fridaynightbash!® on April 22, all game times for Kids Week will be 1:05 p.m. The Bisons are home for Mother’s Day, Sunday May 8 against Louisville (1:05 p.m.). The 17th annual Independence Eve Celebration with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra and Chorus and the largest fireworks show of the year will be Sunday, July 3 at 6:05 p.m. against the Syracuse Chiefs. The team will hold Fan Appreciation Night on Thursday, September 1 against the Rochester Red Wings (6:05 p.m.) –the final regular season home game of 2011.
