2011 Projection - Regardless of how you judge Feliciano’s season, the bottom line is that he continues to be one of the premier LOOGYs in MLB. The question is, what is that worth to a Mets club that is unlikely to sniff the postseason in 2011? Feliciano turned 34 in August, and isn’t likely to vastly improve any part of his game. He “is what he is”, which is a valuable asset to a championship club in need of one final bullpen piece. This winter he hits the open market as a free-agent, and it’s going to be hard for the Mets to justify spending more than the $2.9M he earned in 2010, and/or offering him beyond a one-year deal. As much as I have enjoyed my daily dose of Pedro over the past five years, it seems apparent that he’ll be wearing an opponent’s uniform in 2011.

The sisters are auctioning off the card, which despite its poor condition is expected to fetch between $150,000 and $200,000 US. The proceeds will go to their ministries in 35 countries around the world.
The card is part of the T206 series, produced between 1909 and 1911. About 60 Wagner cards are known to exist.
A near-mint-condition T206 Wagner card sold in 2007 for $2.8 million, the highest price ever for a baseball card. Muller remains aghast that the 1½-inch-by-2½-inch piece of cardboard could sell for even a fraction of that.

#63 Wilmer Flores SS NYM B Hard player to project. He is not staying at SS; not sure if he has the agility for 3B either, would be a liability in the OF. Outstanding plate coverage and contact skills, but will need to develop more power and draw more walks to cover for his defense.
Sickles
Alderson, with a few "elephants in the room" in the form of useless contracts and no money for new players, might not have as busy winter as we think. And frankly, my hopes were never high for that anyway, no matter if the new GM was Alderson, Jon Daniels, Josh Byrnes, or Jesus. So maybe Sandy's main order of business over the next weeks and months should be to take control this well oiled machine and make sure that leaks the size of riptides, along with the constant miscommunications from player and manager, player and general manager, manager and general manager, owner's son and pizza vendor, stop once and for all? Maybe?
If anyone can do that, it's Sandy Alderson. We hope. Remember, 63 is the new 48.

#69 Fernando Martinez OF NYM B Easy to forget he just turned 22. The bat speed and raw power are still there for him to be an offensive force, but he has got to stay healthy and be allowed to develop a mature plate approach. Hopefully Mets old management hasn't ruined him already for the new one, not giving up on him yet.
