Ya know, I’m going to throw out the names I have projected for each teams rotation and then we’ll discuss them. Some of these teams will start the season with more than five starters and will piggyback some of these guys.
Based on Brad Holt’s start in the winter league, I have returned him to a starter:
Mets: Johan Santana (IR), Mike Pelfrey, Jon Niese, R.A. Dickey, Jenrry Mejia, Oliver Perez, Dillon Gee, Hisanori Takahashi
Buffalo: Pat Misch, Eric Neisen , Josh Stinson, Dylan Owen, Mike Antonini

Let’s put down only the AAA/AA/A prospects and super tools guys that still need to develop and see what that looks like:
Buffalo:
Binghamton: Brad Holt, Robert Carson, Jeurys Familia
St. Lucie: Armondo Rodriquez, Yohan Almonte, Matt Harvey
Ya see… things always get a lot clearer when you’re only talking tools.
The real good news is every name in the first portion of this post is a good starter. The Mets have tons of kids that could qualify for an SP5 slot and, who knows, maybe one of them steps out and becomes a future SP4.
In reality Carson and Rodriquez are only SP5’s also, and Almonte and Familia project out in the SP4 range.
Only Matt Harvey and Juan Urbina, who will pitch Brooklyn, currently have SP1 or 2 potential.
There will be no better time come the draft of 2011, to overslot with the first wo picks and go big time toolzy pitcher.
