That’s no problem with Vaughn going out and getting three hits which included a two-run homer off of Robbie Rasmussen. Cory’s going to fall in love the offensive power of this team and watch for him to take off during the rest of the season.

John Maine:
John Maine is mulling retirement after his latest poor start Monday for Triple-A Colorado Springs.Maine allowed 10 hits and eight runs in 4 1/3 innings Monday and now has posted a 7.43 ERA with a 35/37 K/BB ratio over 46 innings. He also dealt with some shoulder soreness last month and has yet to pitch more than 4 1/3 innings since early May. For now, he's taking a leave of absence while weighing his options. Francisco Rodriguez told the Daily News he would not rule out going to the Yankees in a set-up role for Mariano Rivera. "If I am going to be traded, obviously I want the opportunity to close out games," K-Rod told the Daily News' Kristie Ackert. "But if it's going to be good teams like the Yankees or the Rays, and it's going to be for two months, I can go out there and help them out."
