There was talk last week that New York Knicks owner James Dolan was kicking the tires over at the SNY Network.
Boy... talk about going from the pan into the fire...

Pay my fair share towards the Mets that they are due compared to other television contracts offered on the local level in same type of market.
I would make a full bore effort to present as many of the major sports as possible. Selling to Dolan would accomplish that. The fans may not be happy, but Dolan's bottom line sure would be.
Having a TV network with all NYC sports would be great, but it wouldn't guarantee you the ability to watch it if you live in other stats.
Local cable companies like the one I subscribe to in SC control the channels they offer.
I had it for around a year then they dropped it for lack of viewing.
Past that, you would have to make a deal with places like Dish TV or other large carriers to be in one of their plans.
Dolan has done an awful job with the Knicks for 20 long years. Forget TV, that makes me nervous. Hopefully someone else gets the team that has the Mets at heart and deep pockets.
Say what you will about dolan, but his issue has never been spending money. Baseball and basketball are two different animals, and if he could just spend to fix the knicks I'm sure he would, but the salary cap exists. No such problem in baseball
