Open workouts start February 12
New directions on how to enter the complex
PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. - The New York Mets officially begin practice at their spring training complex on Wednesday, February 12 and the workouts are open to the general public.
The Mets will practice everyday and fans can come watch for free. That includes spring training game days. Gates open daily at 9:30 a.m.
Due to the renovation project at Clover Park, entry into the stadium and backfields has changed from previous years.
Fans may only enter the complex by taking the University Blvd. entrance. After turning onto 31 Piazza Drive, fans will be directed by a parking lot attendant to park in the open grass lot in front of the Barwis Center. A new pathway leading to the backfields is located to the right of the Barwis Center.
Merchandise will be available at the souvenir trailer near the practice fields for the duration of open workouts.
Food and drinks will be sold during open workouts.
