What about this trade?
Mets trade M. Conforto, Dominic Smith, P Seth Lugo to the Cubs for LF Kris Bryant.
Mets then trade LSP David Peterson, RSP Harol Gonzales, 3B David Thompson, and C Patrick Mazeika to the Colorado Rockies for and LSP Austin Gomber and Albuquerque Isotopes' pitcher Ryan Rolison.
The Mets outfield then becomes: LF Kris Bryant CF Brandon Nimmo RF Jeff McNeil
You may not like this idea immediately, but after thinking about it you my change your mind later on.
2B thus becomes all Luis Guillorme's with the above trades.
1B Alonso 2B Guillorme SS Lindor (once healthy) 3b JD Davis LF Bryant CF Nimmo RF McNeil C McCann
Brandon Drury becomes the new Kevin Mitchell all purpose sub and backs up 3B, 2B, 1B, and LF.
Drury and Bryant bat right handed. As does JDD, Alonso, McCann and switch hitting Lindor.
