Billy Barber:

link: - The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) released the Pro-Line Athletic National Player of the Week awards for the period ending March 14. - Richmond junior right-hander Billy Barber was named National Pitcher of the Week  -  Barber stretched his scoreless-innings streak to 9.2 innings and played a key role – both offensively and on the mound – as the Spiders went 6-2 over the last eight games. The Fredericksburg, Va., native picked up wins on the mound over George Mason and Lafayette and recorded his first two career saves in back-to-back wins over High Point and Columbia. He allowed just four hits and two walks, while striking out eight in his four relief appearances. As the starting DH, Barber helped his cause by supplying game-winning hits over George Mason and High Point and batting .400 (10-of-25) with three doubles, a homer and five RBI.

Asher Wojciechowski:

3-17 from: - http://web.goldenspikesaward.com/index.html?page=news_archive&article_id=60  - Wojciechowski, a physical 6-foot-4, 235-pound right-hander, dominated the Catamounts on Friday, striking out 14 without issuing a walk over eight scoreless innings. He scattered six hits and took over in the middle innings, recording six straight outs via strikeouts in the sixth and seventh innings. "Asher has pitched some outstanding games for us, but that was one of the best -- if not the best -- he has had," Citadel coach Fred Jordan said. "He was effortless, and he threw four pitches for strikes. From the third inning on until the eighth he really just dominated the game."

Dan Grovatt:

3-17 from: - http://www.collegebaseball360.com/:  - Dan Grovatt – batting .424 for the season – played a central role in college baseball’s biggest series of the season thus far, as the Cavaliers (#2 in the CB360 Composite National Rankings) took 2-of-3 at #4 Florida State (5-0/9-8/8-9). Living up to his responsibility as the Cavs’ 3-hole hitter, Grovatt hit 8-for-14 (.571) during the FSU series and smacked three home runs while directly factoring into seven of the team’s runs spanning the three games (5 RBI, 5R). He helped deliver the first series win vs. Florida State in the history of Virginia baseball. Grovatt’s four hits and first career multi-HR game helped carry the Cavs to victory in the opener. One day later, in the series clincher, Grovatt was the relief pitcher of record (1IP-R-H-K) while also playing a role (H-R) in UVa’s stunning six-run rally in the top of the 9th. He added a home run in the tight series finale – and earlier in the week helped beat a William & Mary team that was fresh off an upset vs. North Carolina.

Leon Landry:

3-17 from: http://www.baseballrumormill.com/:  - Leon Landry, LSU: Another above-average runner, Landry has better power than Holt or Brown. He's a nice, intriguing talent," said an American League scout. "He runs, and brings some punch to the plate. I like the way he plays the game, and he might fit at the top of the lineup with his patience and plate skills."
