"Things are starting to get a little interesting on the recruiting for this 2011 running back prospect out of Hardeeville High School, especially since his highlight reel started making its way around the country. Get the latest details inside courtesy of your friends from SCPrepNation.com.

Jarrell Knighton’s highlight reel made its debut in the recruiting world a little over two weeks ago. And that was about how long it took for college coaches to start paying the 2011 Hardeeville High School running back prospect a little more attention. And the interest has been coming from various levels including the ivies.

“Coach Dan Brooks from Clemson called to check on Knighton this week,” Hardeeville Head Football Coach, Blake Raley, shared with SCPrepNation.com. “I also heard from Furman, Presbyterian, UAB, Army, Cornell, and Harvard all this week.”

The 5-10, 205 pound running back prospect arrived on the scene as a freshman in ’07, rushing for 1256 yards and 11 touchdowns. After showing much promise on the gridiron as a frosh, Knighton miss the entire 2008 season due to a torn ACL. However, the big back was able to get back into the groove of things last fall, where he ended up rushing for1085 yards and 9 touchdowns.

Knighton has received an abundance of camp invitations, and lately has putting together a plan as to where he will be camping this summer. “We are still narrowing things down,” Raley said. “Right now it’ll be Georgia Tech, Clemson, and UAB for sure. And we will hit 4 or 5 one day senior camps as well.”

Stay tuned for much more on Knighton in the near future. We will certainly keep you up to date."
