The Alvarez move makes no sense. He's one of the few lefty starter prospects we have, dominated last night and has been pitching lights out for Savannah. Odd demotion. It will nice to see what Stuart can do for the Gnats.
If I am Dario Alvarez, and I am pitching LIGHTS OUT, and they transferred me to a team that won't start playing for 5 weeks, I'd be bewildered, to put it most kindly. THAT to me seems the most baffling move of the year, at any Met level.
Alvarez is a paper move to make room for Gsellman. I' sure he will be 'called back up' in the next week
I'm excited to see Champ Stuart get a promotion...
