John, I’m sorry I did not respond to your question yesterday, I got caught up with work and didn’t get to see it until the night. The answer is that the format from yesterday made it easier to see all the articles and select a choice to read without navigating whole articles to get to the next one (like it is today). The reason I wrote that it was the old way was it used to be like that at this site a few years back, if I recall correctly. I just liked the way each article had a small byline and they were listed so a reader can scour through them all in one glance without having to scroll through entire article lengths to get to the next choice.

Hope I was clear. Not that some articles aren’t worth reading but as a reader if I see a subject I’m more warm to or a little pressed for time, I’ll jump on that first.

Texas Gus, good point on the visual for multiple articles.

Francisco Alvarez hitting one off of Jake had to be such a thrill for him. He took it cool and calm, but he had to be thinking, "If I can hit one off THIS guy..."

I think Syndergaard is more ready than Gsellman.

That he is on the verge of not being part of the 26 man, despite the absence of cookie, Thor and Lugo speaks volumes. He is in real trouble as a Met, unless he figures something out fast.

Tarpley got hit sharply. He needs more work in the minors IMO.

Did Lindor sign yet? I plan to ask every 5 minutes until the answer is yes.

JD and Nimmo flashing gold glove leather yesterday. Nimmo may be just a bit too deep now, but he'll adjust.

Forget McNeil's spring average - he is hitting like McNeil again.

Conforto's bases loaded DP - his bat has been mighty quiet. Is he as good as his 2020 season indicated, after he had baseball's highest BABIP last year by far? Will Boras be reasonable at all?

Thanks Gus. I appreciate the feedback.

Yesterday's post was set up the "old way" because there was no Met Game the day before.

Would you rather not have the Game re-cap, a shorter version of it, or have the game clips put someplace else? Now that we have the Gameday and Boxscore Posts, this info is now elsewhere on the site. Also, we plan on having minor league game box scores and recaps come May.

One comment has been that the post is too long. That is why I include links to different sections at the beginning.

Would you prefer 3 shorter posts like other sites do? I like not having to make multiple clicks even if I have to scroll a lot. I find it easier to scroll back up than to have to click back. That has been why I set the post up like I have.

I love the recap the way you have it. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not really “broken and needs fixing”. I was just thinking... Whatever is best and easiest works. After all, we’re all Mets fans and will at least listen to each other’s ideas and thoughts about the team.
