Interesting that Gervase led off the interview as a professing Christian. May a line I’ve heard many times in church (God is good all the time, all the time God is God) be tweaked in his case as “Gervase pitches good all the time, all the time Gervase pitches good” in 2024. See you in Queens in 2024, Mr. Gervase. He who has begun a good work in you will be able to complete it.
FYI, Paul Gervase has a high 90's fastball. Saw him throw 97 at the knees.
Gervase will definitely be a Met in 2024 if he stays healthy. That last 7.1 innings shortly after his ascent to AA. 17 Ks and 1 hit? Numbers like that aren’t flukes. The other thing is keeping the ball in the park. He allowed ONE HR in 57 innings last year. ONE.
