Classic Mets roller coaster - do other teams do this stuff, too?

Good for Conforto - maybe THIS will get him rolling.

Congrats to Blankenhorn.

Mazeika keeps hitting - but with Nido hitting, there is no opportunity right now.

Mazeika would be a great bench piece - power lefty off bench - #3 catcher that would allow Nido to be used a pinch hitter more. The problem is that (as we saw yesterday) they really do need all those pitchers on the roster. Hopefully they get some length from starting pitchers soon.

Then there was this.

First off, on that three run play with Taijuan Walker. The Pirate batters name was (you got it) NEWMAN. It figures. I can't win.

If you watch that play slowly enough, the ball actually hits his left foot and then begins its roll slowly into fair territory after beginning out of bounds. I believe as a result striking NEWMAN's foot it should have been ruled a foul ball. Glasses and video replay should have proven this.

NEWMAN of all people I tell ya'. Get Jerry on the line for me. Could have hired anyone for that role. But no. I'd have done it for free.

The "Lastings Milledge Curse" strikes again! First "The Cookie People" and now this!

See what I mean.

With JD Davis. The man is a power factory here. He ignites the whole team.

Then secondly.

The team for some absurd reason just does not hit for Marcus Stroman. Three hits is getting to be normal when this guy pitches. Marcus just does not get any run support.

Then usually the very next game, the Mets hit like eleven hits and score 5 runs.

I don't get it.

Maybe if we put Marcus in some sort of a disguise or something that might work.

It's too Rodney Dangerfield for me, I tell ya'.
