Tryouts Will be Saturday, March 6 at 12 PM
Savannah, GA – The Savannah Sand Gnats will hold open auditions for singers who wish to perform the National Anthem on Saturday March, 6 at noon at Historic Grayson Stadium.
“Anyone who wishes to perform the National Anthem during the 2010 season will have the opportunity to tryout,” said John Katz, President of the Sand Gnats. “Open auditions will ensure that everyone has an equal opportunity to perform this year, and help the Sand Gnats find the best voices,” added Katz.
Each audition will be asked to sing the National Anthem in its entirety with a microphone, without a background track. Those who have sung the National Anthem in the past will also be asked to perform.
“We are looking for people who are enthusiastic and can to sing the National Anthem in a respectful manner,” said Katz. “We are not necessarily looking for the next American Idol, but for singers who can carry a tune who know the words to our National Anthem.”
Auditions will begin at 12 pm on Saturday, March 6. Singers who wish to audition should arrive at Historic Grayson Stadium, located at 1401 East Victory Drive in Savannah, at least 15 minutes ahead of time. There is no need to sign up prior to arriving at the stadium.
