Mack’s 25-man: SP4 Mike Pelfrey

Okay…

We have the starting lineup done, so let’s move on to the last two rotation slots. Remember… we’re building a team with the current players available. That’s all we can do until Sandy and Company does something.

I expect the Mets to offer Mike Pelfrey arbitration, simply because they have to put up the best face they can during the 2012 season. There possibly could be four new rotational pitchers in 2013, and this will be the last year for Pelf in New York.
I actually still believe he has enough talent to pitch in this league, but, but he’s probably mentally shot in Queens. The fans simply hate him and there’s a cloud above his head wherever he goes, including the clubhouse. It reminds me of the Oliver Perez days. You know he was there but everyone just made believe he wasn’t.

SP4 is probably a little harsh, but he’s pitch in the rotation until around the all-star break which will be the earliest one of the kiddies arrives.

I included here a picture I took of him with J.J. Putz. Such promise.
