Yeah I know... who the heck is this?Elvin Ramirez is the 24-year old right-hander that was returned recently by the Washington Nationals. They drafted Ramirez last December in the Rule 5 Draft; however, he spent the entire 2011 season on the DL (shoulder surgery).
Ramirez sits in the high-90s and does touch 100. He's only thrown 6.2-innings above A-ball.
Did I mention he hits 100?
All reports out of the management meetings is the Mets will spend for a closer. I wonder why.
