I sent a note to Mack a few years ago, which he posted, declaring the Astros as my 2nd fave team. That loyalty was born of the tragic passing of a long-time friend of a H/A during batting practice at Minute Maid Field in 2015. He and his cousin were on a quest to see a game in every ML park; Houston was #19. The Astro's put my friend's cousin up for an extra night as they helped arrange to transport the body back to LI. At the wake, a Fed-Ex truck pulls up and delivers a package. It's a baseball bat signed by all the Astro players and inscribed, "to one who loved the game as much as we do." So classy.

    Lets go Astros!

Hobie, great end to a tragic story

Nido was a low K guy, then they started to increase rapidly.

He finished the season 4 for 38 with 13 Ks over his last 10 games, and followed that with 1-15 with 3 Ks in playoffs. 5 for 53.

Now he sputters in AFL ball, where the pitching should be at best comparable to AA.

To me, I am not counting on Nido for the Mets, at all, until he starts hitting a lot better.

Meant to post above in the "Let's go Astros" comments. (sigh)

IMO, Peterson has a long shot chance to make the 2018 Mets pen

With David Peterson also down under, I have to think twice to figure out which one. Tim, not David....for now.
