Pitch Profiler @pitchprofiler
David Peterson fought through loud contact for a respectable line (5.1 IP, 2 ER, 8 Ks).
He'll need to rely more heavily on his
offspeed and breaking pitches if he's going to limit barrels going forward. But
he's been everything the Mets have needed so far!

The Mets
have statistically the best rotation in the Majors, and it's not actually all
that close:
Daniel Wexler @WexlerRules
Anthony Nunez and Chandler Marsh. 2 pitchers the Mets signed as FA’s last
season have now combined to pitch 15.2 *hitless, scoreless* innings. Over that
span the two have combined for 24 k’s vs. 4 walks. Marsh has yet to allow a
baserunner
Jett Williams now sporting a 159 wRC+ with Rumble Ponies. That does come
with some caveats however. His BABIP is .400, and more concerning, he’s struck
out 31% of his AB’s so far. Still all in all, solid start to 2025 for Jett
Ernest Dove @ernestdove
After a
slow start in AA it appears Mets prospect Ryan Clifford
the big red dog might be getting hot. Last 3 games 5 for 12 with a HR
19 year
old Mets prospect Marco Vargas currently leads
the Florida State League in AVG (.429) and OBP (.556)
Pedro Martinez @45PedroMartinez
Mets: I
saw impeccable defense. Great plays by Alonso, picks at 2nd by Acuña… Vientos
making plays… the outfield seemed to be settled… everyone seemed to be playing
great defense behind a great mgr. With
good defense like that, you’re not afraid to pitch to contact.
Juan Soto: I would not worry about him. He’s going to pick up from his bases, on
base percentage and he’s gonna get his hits

Lots of remarkable stuff. They are 18-7 with several struggling hitters. What happens when they stop struggling?
Great defense helps. Soto and Nimmo have been big.
Peterson
It's hard to wind up this well when batters are barreling up on one of your primo pitches and the others aren't generating squat regarding whiffs
If this was his bad outing then, well, he's gonna have a he'll of a year
Kranick
If you throw baseballs and not one of them generate a barrel, you will wind up with praise, adoration, and a lot more money come negotiation time
Is Diaz hurt?
If so, make this man the closer.
Starting to get real concerned about Nimmo
Gotta start a fan club called the Kraniaks
Nimmo? The entire outfield has been substandard. Thankfully, McNeil is back. Big boost. Alvarez yesterday? 0-4, 3 Ks. We will see how ready he is.
0-4?
He's ready
Fits right in
Sorry
That was me
Can we please get Nimmo out of the clean up spot? My goodness
Right now, he should be batting 8th or 9th
Or first.
