Savannah (25-18) shut out by Charleston (25-17) 2-0.
Savannah starter Steven Matz (L, 2-2) pitched well for 6.0 innings, giving up 2 ER on 5 H and 1 BB, while striking out 9, but still took the loss.
Releivers Julian Hilario and Hunter Carnivale pitched well too, but with no run support, it wasn’t enough.
St Lucie (25-18) knocks off Dunedin (25-17) 5-3.
St. Lucie starter Alex Panteliodis (W, 1-1) allowed 2 R, (1 ER) 4 H, 2 BB, 4 K for the win. Relievers Hamilton Bennett and T.J. Chism each pitched perfect innings, with Chism earning his 4th save.

Binghamton (25-20) bows to New Britain (21-24) 9-3.
Despite matching the Rock Cats in hits, 13-13, it’s runs that count, so Bingo took the loss.
Starter Jacob deGrom (L, 1-5) got beat up again, allowing 7 ER on 9 H, and 4 BB, with 3 K in his 4.2 IP.
Cesar Puello, 1-5, cracked a HR, 2 RBI, R. Puello also threw out a runner at home.

Josh Rodriguez: 3-4, RBI, R.
Iowa (17-24) edges Las Vegas (20-22) 2-1 (Game 1).
51’s starter Rafael Montero (L, 0-1) pitched superbly for 6 scoreless innings, allowing only 3 hits. To start the 7th, however, he gave up a home run, and after getting the next two batters out, a walk.
Josh Edgin was brought in to relieve Montero, but he gave no relief, giving up singles to the next 2 hitters, and allowing the runner he inherited from Montero to score the winning run.

Iowa (18-24) once more edges Las Vegas (20-23) 6-5 (Game 2, make up 5/20 game).
Starter D.J. Mitchell (no decision) allowed 5 ER on 7 H, and 3 BB, with 3 K in his 4.0 IP.
After Las Vegas had tied the score, with 5 runs in the top of the 6th, Gonzalez Germen, (L, 1-3) gave up a go ahead HR in the bottom of the 6th to earn the loss.
