NGSCSports - As a senior, Suozzi was elected a co-captain and slashed .414/.471/.638, while starting all 15 games. He drove in a team-leading 16 runs and scored 14. His career-best hit-streak reached 14 games, which is tied for the sixth-longest in BC history.

 

Suozzi arrived on the Heights as an unrecruited freshman with no scholarship offers and without a spot on the BC baseball team. Following a summer as a lifeguard and playing slow-pitch softball on Long Island, he made the BC team through a walk-on tryout in the fall of 2017. Suozzi moved into the starting lineup midway through his 2018 sophomore season and became a staple in the Eagles’ lineup as a junior when he hit .282 and slugged .423 with a .363 on-base percentage. He capped off the 2019 season by earning a spot on the ACC All-Tournament Team.

 

SNY -  Suozzi grew up just 20 minutes from Citi Field in Flushing, while attending Chaminade High School on Long Island. Upon graduating in 2017, Suozzi didn't jump right into his baseball career with the Eagles. He actually didn't play at all his freshman year, while playing softball that summer instead.

 

However, once sophomore year rolled around, he tested his chances of making the team as a walk-on and it paid off. He would go on to hit .250/.316/.368 with five doubles, one homer and six RBI over 25 games that year. It was 2019, though, when he would start to get on scouts' radars.

 

A .282/.363/.423 triple slash with three homers, 18 RBI and eight doubles over 48 games was a much-improved stat line in his junior season. The 6-foot-2, 195-pound outfielder would also end up making the All-ACC Tournament team.
