LOOKING FOR FIRST AA WIN: Tonight's Rumble Ponies starting pitcher RHP Cole Gordon is looking for his first AA win. Gordon pitched well last time out against the Fisher Cats but took a no-decision in the Ponies 7-3 loss. Gordon has only had 3.3 runs per game of run support since joining the rotation in early June.
TOUGH OPPONENT: Tonight's Curve starting pitcher LHP Omar Cruz has only allowed two earned runs over his first 15.1 innings (3 starts) at the AA level. Cruz was part of a three team deal with the Mets and Padres that sent Joe Musgrove to San Diego and Joey Lucchesi to New York. The lefty was one of five prospects the Pirates got in return for Musgrove.
