9-9-21 - Prospects Live - 2022 MLB DRAFT - TOP 150 PROSPECTS -
99 Riley Stanford
RHP/OF
Buford
Gainesville, GA XL frame with plenty of projection remaining. Up to 97 at WWBA, but we think his future is in the outfield. Stanford's athleticism for his size really stands out. In the field, he plays an instinctual brand of defense with solid routes to the ball. The raw power at the plate is big... mammoth even. He quite comfortably has the best barrel speed in the class, approaching 85mph at it's best. Only Jayson Jones can say he tested above 80mph in this class. On the mound, he's got feel for a big breaking ball, but the fastball is his bread and butter. That said, Stanford can lose the strikezone from time to time, but the stuff is signficant and loud. There's some reliever risk here, but you'd be hard pressed to find better pure arm talent. Stanford could end up in the field or on the mound, or as a two-way guy if he gets to school.
8-23-21 - Perfect Game All-American Classic @PGAllAmerican
Riley Stanford (GA) pumping 93-96 to close out the East Squad victory! East wins 9-1 as the East pitchers combined for a NO-HITTER! bats having quite an experience here.
Mack's spin -
Stanford is a legitimate 2-way player.
He is a + defensive outfielder with huge pop and a power pitcher that hits 97.
I look for him to go much higher on draft boards this mock season.
Right now, I have him as my 14th RHP.
8-22-21 - Joe Doyle @JoeDoyleMiLB
Brandon Barriera throwing some extremely heavy gyro-heavy fastball/cutters and this low-80s slider with two-plane sweep. Lefty
8-22-21 - Perfect Game All-American Classic @PGAllAmerican
Brandon Barriera (FL) working mostly 92-94/95 w/ a free & easy AA. Good life; good feel to spin two breakers w/ a hard SL @ 82-84 & CB w/ more 12/6 shape @ 76-78
Mack's spin -
One of the more electric arms in this draft.
My 5th LHP.

Mack - We never see much ink being written about second basemen. Jace Jung is obviously number one here, but could you give us five other second basemen to keep an eye on?
Joe - Surely. Robert Moore at Arkansas, Joe Lampe at Arizona State, Brooks Carlson at Samford, Jacob Blas at Arizona and Jared Poland at Louisville
2021 Stanford stat line - 50-G, 186-AB, .301/.409/.478, 6-HR. 30-BB
Mack's spin -
I have no other ink yet on Carlson, but I trust Joe's experise.
I have put him on my board as the 4th 2Bman.

FELIX SCHLEDE
Right-Handed Pitcher
West Seattle High School (Seattle, WA)
When I last saw Schlede he was 89-91 touching 92. He was featuring a big, power breaking ball in the high 70s with impressive depth. He also showed feel for a changeup with some arm-side run. Those close to the program say he’s touched 95 and consistently settles in 89-92 these days, tickling 93 and 94 as he goes. The pure stuff is great, but Schlede comes at batters from a super imposing 6-foot-6-inch, 220-pound frame. He’s got long levers, a high waist and fairly impressive balance and body control for a kid his size.
Mack's spin -
Another newbie on my board.
No ranking yet.

Brock Porter
I’m not sure I’ve seen a Brock Porter performance over the last 8 months that hasn’t been loud, and that didn’t change at PG National. Porter was the starter of a 9am game and came out sitting 95-96, topping out with 97.5 with a ton of ride. Showcased his present big league changeup that’s likely a 60 grade pitch at 77-79 with parachute type fade. Getting a near 20 mph velo difference from his fastball makes it play up even more. The Orchard Lake St. Mary’s product has shown a slider and curveball in the past but only flashed the quality 11/5 curveball in this outing. Porter shows some of the highest pitchability in the class and continues to make huge strides in overall command. Clemson commit has a real chance to be one of the best RHP in the class.
Mack' spin -
Porter is an easy pitcher to fall in love with.
Currently my 7th RHP and a lock to be picked in the first two rounds.
