from press release
The Braves scored eight runs in the first four innings and coasted to a 10-4 victory over the Bisons on Thursday night from Coolray Field. The decision means another split of a four-game series between Gwinnett and Buffalo. The two clubs have split all three four-game series they've played since Gwinnett entered the International League last season. The Braves jumped on Bisons starter Dillon Gee early and knocked him out of the game after just three innings. Two runs in the first, three in the second and two more in the third gave Gwinnett an insurmountable 7-0 advantage. The three-inning night was Gee's shortest outing in 24 career starts at the Triple-A level. The righty has now lost his last four decisions to fall to 6-5 on the season. The Bisons cut the deficit in half in the game's middle innings. Jorge Padilla's two-run homer in the fourth closed the gap to 7-2. Pitcher Mike O'Connor and Russ Adams drove in runs in the fifth to make it 8-4. However, the Herd had just one hit from the sixth inning on.
