The 40-Man Roster Doth Change!!

The personnel changes continue under new GM Sandy Alderson, as the Mets today saw the Royals claim Infielder Joquain Arias on waivers, as well as out-righting 5 players to Buffalo (AAA): Eddie Kunz, Jesus Feliciano, Mike Hessman, Omir Santos and Raul Valdez. No surprises, and the 40-man is now down to 34. That leaves nothing to show for the Jeff Francoeur deal, with Arias already added to the Royals 4o-man roster. ***Actually, this means that we have no one left to show for LASTINGS MILLEDGE!!!

Kunz is one last reminder of draft picks spent in vain; Feliciano, Hessman, Santos and Valdez are truly 4-A players, necessary for injury replacement but certainly not "vital" to an organization; and Arias, though possessing of potential (still) represented yet another roadblock in the middle of the infield for the Mets. All positive changes, and it'll be interesting to see who Alderson and team are targeting as their roster replacements.

It may be the "off-season" for baseball, but for Mets fans, the fun continues...
